In My Heart Is Seoul
...ah.. a year and 4 months have passed already after my trip to korea.. i thought i could go back a year after but my plan was wasted because of a very negligent travel agent.. i will never forget my trip to korea.. all the sights.. and its wonders.. and all the lovely people i met.. im so thankful i was welcomed warmly.. i still have so many things in my mind that i need to do once i get back to korea.. these days, my heart is telling me that i miss it so badly... i want to roam its streets.. enjoy other sights and do other activities..picnic by the han river.. try exotic korean food.. er.. eating live octopus perhaps?...ride on ktx to travel to other korean cities... this year target jeju was pulled out of target.. it feels very disappointing but i believe God makes things beautiful in its time.. Skorea, i heart you.
I am posting some pics which i havent posted in my other social network sites.

-your dash-
HOW TO LIVE YOUR DASH by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on his tombstone
from beginning.. to the end.
He noted that first came his date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
(1924-2010)
For that dash represents all the time
that he spent alive on earth...
and now only those who loved him
know what that little line is worth.
for it matters not, how much we own;
the cars... the house.. the cash,
what matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard...
are there things you'd like to change?
for you never know how much time is left,
that can still be rearranged.
if we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile..
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy's being read
with your life's actions to rehas....
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your dash?

hooked!
1)cinderella's sister- with korea's little sister, who is now definitely a pretty lady, moon eun gyoung from the hit movies, my little bride, innocent steps and .... i forgot the title.. but she played a blind girl in that movie..this drama is another tear-jerker.. great story.. not finished yet as of this writing..
2) ob-gyn- my lacrimal glands were overly stimulated watching this drama..the lead actress is jang soo hee.. very pretty.. i remember her from way, way back in the drama that became popular in the philippines, 'irene' but this is entitled 'mermaid' in korea...
3. personal taste- a comeback for both son ye jin and the very popular lee min ho from boys over flowers... i consider son ye jin a very versatile actress.. not to mention pretty in a simple way...
4. god of study- a high-schooler drama but it was fun watching it.. this can make u cry as well... T.T

things that i have come to like(&love??) in bermuda
portmeirion- been influenced seeing all of Mrs. Shiela Gosling's^__^ collection....she has quite a collection of this from saucers to clocks and even her lampshade.. you name it, she has it..
Clinique&MAC- an answer to all the dryness( be it summer or winter), discoloration and (wrinkles?)& lip care.... thanks to "our" beauty consultant cousin, Nang Lina..im not yet into make-ups....i have never been a fan of cosmetics nor fashion...hehehe
pure memory- there's nothing to do but click here and there...ive developed a knack for taking pictures (in an amateurish way i should say)
gift certificates- always present in any occasion or events...
travelling- ive come to realize that going on a trip is such a good experience... a breather to keep up your sanity but it can dig a hole in your pocket...
cards..cards..cards...- in here, you have to have a card ready for any occasion... it is rude not to hand in a card to someone on special occasions.. people here would have those cards displayed and even hang it on their christmas tree unlike in the philippines where it can directly burn into the fire (as a substitute for firewood?)
internet connection... if all lights are up, it means that we can stay glued looking at our computer as long as you like..
truffles- this really melts in your mouth..do they have milk chocolate ones/
pistachio- one of my loving greens... love this better than peanuts..
okra- baby or not, i can just boil water and throw them into the pot and i would have my fish sauce and vinegar ready for my dip... i was happy to see it in the frozen section of the supermarket..
butter- breakfast is just simple...just a piece or two of toast and butter 'em up... i've never liked butter in the philippines nor star margarine...
boiled sweet corn- couldnt have imagined having this as a substitute for my rice...
mussels- priceylicious... but it's always a treat to have this.. either you flavor it and mix with spinach... or put it in the oven with finely chopped garlic and butter...
banana- my friend in the morning... a piece of banana before my morning coffee and toast or oats... my morning is not complete unless i have this passing down my throat
PS. lobster.... kiwi are not included in pictures but boy oh boy...ive become a lobster and kiwi lover... i dont mind about the price for now..hehehe..
i thank God for all His goodness in my life!!!! and i give Him all the glory!!!!

this reminds me...
not long ago, somebody asked me, "do you like g.o.d.?" i thought it was like a joke or a profanity of some sort... so i didnt really give it much thought and just shrugged it off... then a lot of things happened after that... just a few weeks back, i was watching something in youtube and i searched about g.o.d..... and it brings back all the bitter-sweet memories about "g.o.d.".... g.o.d. can you hear me?? and g.o.d. is (still) very silent ",) thank you g.o.d. for showing me what real love is....i know i am still loving g.o.d.!!

new year thoughts & prayer
it's 2010!! unbelievable....a day before new year i had a long talk with a very dear friend...because a few days before that i was feeling sore and sour about something...it is a good to talk things out....no matter how awful you feel... good to let out what's inside you... but we have to be careful not to sound remorseful or vengeful or else it will just go haywire... well, i realized a lot of things... i was able to see those gray areas ...those blindspots they say... however, i feel something is amiss... so on the 1st day of this year, i did something that i should have done months and months ago...i want to be clear and clean about some issues i have inside of me...last year, i dont know if i made a wrong decision...but before 2009 ended i realized that i needed to correct it... i dont know what the result will be...i dont know if it was worth a try..i just dont want to live with regrets in life..i dont want to struggle with the "what if".....so i gave it a try...i dont know how this year will turn out to be... will my dreams and desires be materialized?... will i see beautiful things ahead?... will it be full of colors and fun-loving sounds??...hmmm...i believe i am in my cross-road... i hope my feet will carry me to where i belong...to a destiny planned and created by God and not mine...cause i know He is my anchor.... i put my trust in His divine guidance and will... in Him is great joy, peace, comfort and love!!.. i wont be afraid...i just pray that i will hear His still small voice...so I could follow His lead...Amen.
going bonkers in 2010

my Girl
this is our own idea of fun in Bermuda...new year is celebrated not with a big bang but more of a quiet thrill to it...no flare but enough funfare...nice to welcome the new year with great friends around you...celebrations dont need grandiose theme nor great food but just true laughter and kindred spirits...happy 1020 to all of you...!!!
